UPDATED: new Yamaha R1 model homologated as FIM reveal updated eligible bikes list

The Japanese manufacturer have homologated a new model of the Yamaha R1 with an updated list of bikes eligible for competition
Ahead of the Acerbis Italian Round, the FIM have provided an update on bikes eligible to compete in the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship. The big news is that a new Yamaha YFZ-R1 model has been homologated from September 2024 for an eight-year period. The bike has completed both Phase 1 and Phase 2 homologation.
